Hello, again K-Collective! I just coined that, and I rate it! K-Collective 🌿
There’ve been several moments this week I‘ve been asked some really good questions. A lot of them I think, coalesce around the topic of IDENTITY…what IS someone/ thing?
Here at Kemi Collective, our values shape our identity: we are a caring creative community. We believe community, holding each other up and holding each other down (IYKYK what I mean 😉), is core to every engagement. Ok, ok, what does this have to with the topic question, “do I really need an interior designer”? Everything!
Although I‘m also a forever student at the U of Tube 😉, I’ve learned the hard way that bringing in expert, dedicated, service providers often save the very time and money you claim to want to save by going the DIY or “cheap” route.
Interior designers at their core are creative problem solvers, effective communicators, and efficient project managers. Hmmm, where’s the fluff and frills in that description? The fluff and frills are embedded in their ability to see solutions to problems in their “mind's eye”, translate technical jargon to layman’s terms with an evocative flourish and orchestrate complex agendas, schedules, timelines, and budgets, with the deftness of a symphony conductor! How's that for frills and fluff!
Here at Kemi Collective, our interior design engagements are keyed in to provide our clients an experience that is collaborative, creative, and CARING. Why caring? Well because we know that we are helping transform people’s sacred spaces. The spaces they feel their truest and most vulnerable selves in. We take the invitation to do this work to heart as it’s our client’s invitation to build community with us.
So yeah, you need an Interior Designer! You need a village, a community to help you get far in transforming your space (going fast doesn‘t typically get the desired result). Let Kemi Collective help you get far. 🌿
